Holbæk B&I

Holbæk B&I reached the top flight in 1972 and, three years later, finished second in the 1. division, losing the championship to Køge BK in the final round. The same season took them to the Danish Cup final, where Vejle BK won 1-0. They went back the following year and lost again, 2-1 to Esbjerg fB.

Those two seasons put the town into the UEFA Cup twice, against Stal Mielec and then Eintracht Braunschweig. The descent ran for the better part of two decades and ended in the Sjællandsserien, the fourth tier, in 1993.

Between 2008 and 2014 the first team did not play under the club's own name at all. It was entered as FC Nordvest, an umbrella structure that folded the first, second, U-21, U-19 and U-17 sides into one professional set-up to make the case to sponsors. Under that name the club won the 2. division Øst in 2011, then lost the promotion play-off to Blokhus on away goals. When Nordvest was wound up, the first team went back to being Holbæk B&I.

The old Holbæk Stadion, which held 10,500, came down in 2019. division.
