Sokół Łańcut grew out of the PTG Sokół gymnastics society, reactivated on 27 August 1990, with a basketball section that only started competing formally two years later; the club itself counts 1990 as the year it began. The team dropped back to the 1 Liga, and returned to the top division in 2022 after winning the league outright. The 2022/2023 season was spent among Poland's best, before relegation sent Sokoły back down once more.

The club plays in yellow and black at the Hala MOSiR w Łańcucie, a hall that holds 800 for a full house. Locals know the team as the Falcons.

Dariusz Kaszowski is the name attached most closely to the club's rise: as coach, he took Sokół up to the PLK for the first time in 2019.
