Racing De Veracruz 2

When Racing de Veracruz went looking for a way to bring young players through, the club announced the project on 16 June 2025, and within a fortnight, on 27 June, the reserve side had been admitted into the Liga Premier – Serie B for the 2025–26 season, entering competitive football almost as soon as it existed on paper.

It carries the purple and yellow of the first team and the same nickname, El Monstruo Morado. Two loan signings from Mineros de Zacatecas, Alfonso Méndez and Diego Piñón, arrived along that pipeline.

Racing itself is a young club, formed in 2023 under a different name before being rebranded a year later. The senior side has already found its rivalries: a bitter one with Club Celaya, sharpened by a fatal clash between fans in February 2026, and a territorial one with Piratas F.C., the professional club that took over Veracruz's spotlight.

It plays at the Unidad Deportiva Hugo Sánchez in Boca del Río.
