«the Ivy»
Alex Kocher's design for the inaugural kits leans on ivy vines climbing the jersey body, green paired with a brick orange meant to echo the city's older buildings, produced through hummel Pro North America.
Richmond Ivy SC took the field for the first time in spring 2024, having been announced the previous July as one of the expansion sides joining the USL W League. The ownership group behind it, 22 Holdings LLC, already ran the Richmond Kickers, and the new women's side shares City Stadium with that men's team, its capacity cut down to 6,000 for soccer from the ground's full 22,611.
No silverware yet — the club is early enough into its existence that there is none to speak of. For now it plays out its W League fixtures at City Stadium under the Ivy name, still building whatever comes next.
