Rive

Rive Atlético Clube was born in Alegre in 1927, and for nearly a century it remained exactly that kind of side, taking the Campeonato Municipal de Alegre in 2024 and the regional Torneio Sulino the year after.

That changed in February 2026, when Rive bought the CNPJ of Gálatas FC — a club built from the remains of Espírito Santo Futebol Clube — and with it the legal standing to turn professional. The move put Rive straight into the Campeonato Capixaba Série B for the 2026 season, decades after two earlier, sparsely recorded appearances in the same division, in 1992 and 1995.

The jump to professional football caught Rive's own ground mid-rebuild. Arena Rive held 400 people, a stadium sized for the amateur years, and by December 2026 it is due to reopen with 2,150 seats. Until then, Rive is playing its Série B season as a tenant, at the Estádio Arsílio Caiado Ferreira, home of neighbours Comercial de Alegre.

Red runs through the shirt and the nickname alike — Colorado, as the local press has long called the club, with black making up the rest of the kit. There is no professional silverware to point to yet; that story begins with this season, played out on a borrowed pitch while Arena Rive waits to reopen in Alegre.
