St. Albans Saints carried the run into the Round of 32, where they held Perth Glory to a draw before losing the replay 4-1.
The club was founded in 1954 by members of Melbourne's Croatian community, who modelled it on GNK Dinamo Zagreb and took that club's blue and white for their own colours. It played for decades as St Albans Dinamo before adopting its current name in 2014.
In 1998 the Saints finished top of the Victorian Premier League table in the regular season but lost the Grand Final and went home without the title.
Home matches are played at Churchill Reserve in St Albans, which holds 3,500.
