Tacna Heroica

Alianza Lima signed a four-year development agreement with Bentín Tacna Heroica in December 2025, sending young talent from Tacna into a partnership with one of Peru's biggest clubs — a striking arrangement for an outfit that, eleven years earlier, had started out as a district-level side in Alto de la Alianza with no more ambition than training local players. The club was founded on 14 October 2014, and its early honours reflect that scale: a lone regional title, won long before anyone outside Tacna had heard the name.

The turn came in 2024, when the club won the Copa Perú and earned promotion to the Segunda División for the first time in its history. Kevin Laura, born in September 1991, has led the line through that rise; Jorge Pretel has kept goal.

Home matches are played at Estadio Jorge Basadre, built in 2000 and a host venue for the 2004 Copa América, with room for almost 20,000 — a considerable step up from the club's original ground, Estadio Alto de la Alianza, closed over infrastructure faults. In Tacna, the fixture that draws attention is the derby between Coronel Bolognesi and Alfonso Ugarte; Bentín Tacna Heroica, known as El Vendaval Azul, has yet to build a rivalry of its own, still just over a decade removed from that first district title in 2014.
