Its main football ground, the Estadio Max Augustín, holds 24,576 people.
Knocked out of the Copa Perú in the last 32, the club was still promoted to the newly created Liga 3 for 2025, having gathered more points than the other side representing Loreto. In that first Liga 3 season Estudiantil CNI finished second.
The president and sporting director is Abel Lobatón , once a Peru international and a player at Universitario and Sport Boys.
The club was set up on 30 July 1996 by a group of teachers at the Colegio Nacional Iquitos, as a non-profit meant to get young people in the city playing sport. The initials in the name are the school's.
