Tupapa Maraerenga

Victoria Park holds 1,000 people, and it has been the stage for a club that has spent decades turning up week after week and winning. Founded in 1968, Tupapa Maraerenga plays in black and white, a colour scheme close enough to the shirt that supporters simply call the team the Black and Whites.

The record at home is not close. Tupapa has claimed the Cook Islands Round Cup 20 times, with the most recent run of titles stretching from 2022 through 2025, and added 11 Cook Islands Cups on top of that, the last three coming in the same stretch of seasons. The rivalry that means the most locally is with Nikao Sokattak, a fixture that carries history without ever needing a nickname to explain why it matters.

What the club has produced beyond trophies is players. Captain Grover Harmon leads the current group, with forward Marcus Gibbons among those who have carried Tupapa's colours into the Cook Islands national team. The women's side has followed the same pattern of dominance, with 15 league titles and 15 cups of its own.

Twenty domestic championships is the number that sums up what Tupapa Maraerenga has built at Victoria Park since 1968.
