Rewa FC

Nadi has been the fixture Nausori circles first when the Battle of the Giants draw comes out. The two have met in semi-finals and finals of that tournament often enough. Ba carries its own weight in the rivalry — the 2020 semi-final went to penalties, and Rewa came through 8–7 after neither side had settled the tie in normal time. Nasinu, closer to home, turns up most seasons in the National Football League itself rather than in cup shocks.

The club traces back to 1928, when two teams from the Rewa region entered organised competition — Rewa FC and Dilkusha Excelsior — though football in the district had already been taking shape since 1916. The Inter-District Championship is where that early history shows itself most: Rewa beat Ba 3–2 to win the first one in 1938, and the same competition has come back to them ten times since.

League form has caught up with that older record in recent years. Rewa took the national title in 2022, then again in 2024 and 2025, seasons that put them alongside their cup pedigree — three Fiji FA Cup wins in 2011, 2017 and 2018, and Battle of the Giants titles stretching from 1994 to 2020.
