United Fc U23

Dubai is not a football town in the way Sharjah or Al Ain are, and the club that took the city's name is younger than most of the players in its academy. United FC was founded on 1 September 2022 as a private project in a city where the established clubs draw on decades of state and royal patronage. Its under-23 side, United FC U23, exists inside that experiment rather than alongside it.

The senior team climbed quickly. Promotion out of the Second Division came in 2022–23, the first season the club existed, and the First Division followed for 2025–26. In between, the reserve side won the UAE Third Division League in 2024–25 — the only title on the club's board, and one won by the age-group team rather than the first eleven. That order of events says something about where the club has put its money.

The U23s now play in the Pro League U23 competition, which is the standard route in the Emirates for young players to get competitive minutes without being loaned into the lower divisions. For a club with no history to draw on, it is also the only place a squad identity can be built at all.

They wear black with orange, the same as the senior side.

Home matches are played at the Dubai Sports City Football Academy, a 5,000-capacity ground inside the Dubai Sports City development — a purpose-built district of stadiums, academies and apartment towers on the edge of the city, put up in the 2000s along the Al Khail road. The senior team crosses town to the Al-Maktoum Stadium, which holds 15,058. The younger side stays out at the academy, in a district that was drawn on a plan before anyone kicked a ball there.
