Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai U23

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum signed the decree in 2017 that folded three Dubai clubs — Al Ahli, founded in 1970, Al Shabab in 1974 and Dubai FC in 1997 — into one.

The reserves play in the UAE Pro League U23, and their one piece of silverware sits outside it. In 2021 they took the Gulf Cup at under-21 level. The league itself has been less obliging: no title there, and in 2025/26 the side finished eighth, with 7 wins, 6 draws and 10 defeats — a record that never threatened the top and never dropped them into trouble either.

Home is Al-Rashid Stadium, which holds 8,015 in its ordinary configuration. For the 2019 Asian Cup the capacity was temporarily raised to 12,056, then returned to what it had been. The ground carries the first team's red and white.
