The Estádio Municipal Walter Mattos Reis holds 3,000 and has been Villa Real's home only since April 2024.
It was put together in 2021 in Juiz de Fora by the former Tupi player Allan Taxista and three friends — not as a feeder side for anyone, but as a club in its own right. The senior team went straight into the Segunda Divisão do Campeonato Mineiro, the third tier, in 2022 and reached the quarter-finals at the first attempt. Nothing has been won since.
Locally the side is the Águia Machadense, the Eagle of Machado, and also the Time do Povo — the People's Team.
The under-20 side plays in the top flight of the state youth championship, which means that a club four years old and one municipal ground puts out teams against Atlético Mineiro U20. No graduate has yet moved on to a first-division club.
Black at home, white away. Machado is a town in the south of Minas Gerais.
