Juan Pablo II College

The Estadio Municipal de la Juventud in Chongoyape holds around 2,500 people. It sits in the club's own district, in Chiclayo province, in the Lambayeque region.

The club took its name from I.E.P. Juan Pablo II College, the school where it began as a side for pupils. Agustín Lozano, president of the Peruvian Football Federation, founded it with his wife, Orfelinda Correa, on 24 November 2015. It kept the school's name even after it stopped fielding schoolboys and started signing professionals, and it kept the nickname that followed from it: Auriblancos, for the yellow and white worn in the shirt, shorts and socks. In Poland, where Pope John Paul II is Karol Wojtyła's own countryman, the club has picked up a following unusual for a team from a small district in northern Peru.

In 2023 Juan Pablo II College won the Lambayeque departmental stage of the Copa Perú, beating Juventud La Joya 2-1, then fell in a penalty shootout to FC San Marcos at the national stage — enough to earn a place in Liga 2. A year later they finished runners-up there, losing the final to Alianza Universidad 0-1 on 20 October 2024, but both finalists went up regardless. Liga 1 followed in 2025, and the club held its place into 2026.

Christian Cueva joined in December 2025, arriving from Ecuador's Emelec. Santiago Acasiete, the coach who took them up in 2024, left at the end of 2025 after a season that included a touchline altercation with player Cristhian Tizón during a match against Cienciano; Jorge Araujo, who had coached the club before, in 2022 and 2023, returned to the post in May 2026.
