About

The Russian Women's Handball Supercup is an annual one-off match organized by the Handball Federation of Russia (FGR). It functions as a standalone trophy outside the main league and cup structures, serving as a prestigious pre-season curtain-raiser for the Russian handball season. The competition features a single match between the Champion of the Russian Super League and the Winner of the Russian Cup from the previous season. If a single team achieves the domestic double by winning both titles, the Supercup match is contested between the Champion and the Cup Runner-up instead.

The fixture consists of two 30-minute halves with a 10-minute break. In the event of a draw after regulation time, the winner is determined by two 5-minute extra time periods, followed by a penalty shootout (7-meter throws) if necessary. Rostov-Don is the most successful club in the tournament's history, having won the title eight times. CSKA Moscow holds the second-most titles with three wins. Zvezda Zvenigorod has one title to its name from the inaugural edition.

The tournament has undergone sponsorship changes during its existence. It was unsponsored in its first year, sponsored by VKontakte from 2018 to 2020, and has been sponsored by OLIMPBET since 2021. The competition is distinct from the Russian Men's Handball Supercup, which shares the same founding year and format but features separate clubs and results.
