Malmö saw off Ergrithe 4-1 at Eleda Stadion on Saturday afternoon in the 21st round of the Allsvenskan. The hosts controlled proceedings from the start and never looked in danger of dropping points. By then the result was already running away from the visitors.
Kenan Busuladzic came on for Malmö in the 20th minute, a change that shifted the tempo. Jovan Milosavljević opened the scoring in the 58th minute, and Otto Rosengren doubled the lead shortly after in the 71st. To be fair, Ergrithe pulled one back through Tobias Sana from the penalty spot in the 82nd.
Then came the late flurry. Bleon Kurtulus netted in the 90th minute, and Owen Parker Price turned it into four with an own goal in the 90th plus four. The away end never stopped, but Malmö held their nerve when it mattered.
Malmö dominated the numbers. They enjoyed 57 per cent possession and fired 12 shots on target compared to just one for Ergrithe. The visitors managed only six key passes and created a single big chance all afternoon.
The win keeps Malmö fifth in the table on 33 points from 21 games. Ergrithe remain 15th with 15 points and a heavy defeat adds to their concerns.
We called for a home win before kick-off with 55 per cent confidence. The performance justified the verdict. Malmö ran the show and deserved every point.
