The MZH Muotathal sits on Stumpenmatt and it holds no more than 1,000 spectators when Mythen-Shooters play there. The women's side, fielded under the joint SG Muotathal/Mythen-Shooters banner, sticks to the 1. Liga and 2. Liga rather than the National League.

The club traces itself back to 1975, a date the Swiss Handball Hall of Fame and the club's own site both give as the starting point. Fifty years on, the honours list stays empty of a Swiss Cup or a national title, though the team reached the quarter-finals of the Swiss Cup in 2024/25.

Inside the club itself, the women's team also measures itself against the men of KTV Muotathal, sharing a name and a canton if not a division.

On matchdays the hall at Stumpenmatt fills with the same blue and white the club carries onto social media.
