Kongsvinger and Lin drew 4-4 in the 20th round of the Norwegian First Division on Saturday. The match at Kongsvinger Stadium produced a flurry of goals and ended with a late equaliser. Both sides had chances to win but couldn't put the game away.
A. Olsen opened the scoring in the fifth minute before V. Lysell responded for Lin seven minutes later. M. Sande restored Kongsvinger's lead at 18 minutes, and Olsen struck again in the 29th minute to make it 3-1. D. Job received a yellow card for Kongsvinger in the 35th minute as the hosts held their advantage.
Lin pulled one back through M. Johansen in the 51st minute and then levelled with a penalty from F. Christensen in the 57th minute. The visitors should have taken the lead a minute later when their penalty was missed. D. Lysgard and E. Race picked up yellow cards for both sides in quick succession.
Kongsvinger regained the lead when A. Hellum scored in the 78th minute. Lin responded with a goal in the 90th minute plus six to salvage a point. Several substitutions followed in the closing stages as both managers looked for a winner.
Kongsvinger had 51 per cent possession and 110 attacks compared to Lin's 101. The hosts registered eight shots on target while Lin managed nine. Both teams had similar numbers of shots off target, with Kongsvinger seven to Lin's four.
Before the match Kongsvinger sat second with 42 points from 19 games. Lin were in 10th place with 23 points. The draw means Kongsvinger remain in second while Lin stay in the lower half of the table.
