Stützle Brushes Off Marchand's Captaincy Jab
Senators forward Tim Stützle responded coolly after Panthers winger Brad Marchand mocked his bid for Ottawa's vacant captaincy, saying he doesn't care about the jibe.
Tim Stützle has dismissed Brad Marchand's mockery of his candidacy for the Ottawa Senators captaincy.
Marchand, now with the Florida Panthers, reacted to a post naming Stützle among the finalists for the vacant armband with a jab: "Ha-ha-ha... Stützle... ha-ha-ha."
Stützle's reply was short.
Marchand will line up alongside Brady Tkachuk in Florida this season. Tkachuk, Ottawa's former captain, was traded to the Panthers in June after requesting a move away from the Senators. Ottawa have not named a replacement since.
