Paulos Johannes Abraham

Paulos Abraham took his time to become an overnight sensation. He came through the youth ranks at IF Brommapojkarna and made his senior debut in the Swedish Cup in 2020, before AIK paid roughly a million kronor to bring him in that March. The move to FC Groningen in July 2021 raised the stakes further, and it did not take him long to make a mark in the Netherlands: on 28 February 2021 he became the youngest Swedish player to score in the Eredivisie, netting against Fortuna Sittard at the age of 18.

His finishing had already caught the eye at international youth level. On 13 October 2020 he scored twice against Armenia's under-21 side, becoming the first player born in 2002 to score for Sweden's U21 team. He went on to earn caps for the U17, U19 and U21 sides, though a senior call-up has not followed.

A loan to IFK Göteborg through 2024 kept him playing regularly while still under contract at Groningen, and he delivered one of the standout individual moments of his career during that spell: a hat-trick against Mjällby AIF on 28 July 2024. That form fed into his move to Hammarby FF in January 2025, a transfer worth around 15 million kronor.

Ambidextrous by most accounts, though listed as right-footed in some databases, Abraham has built his game around that finishing instinct rather than around silverware — he has yet to add a major team title or an individual award to his record. At Hammarby, he is now looking to turn those flashes of quality into consistent output at a bigger club.
