Sam Andreas Larsson

Sam Andreas Larsson came through the youth ranks at IFK Göteborg, his hometown club, and made his senior debut there in 2012, helping the side win the Svenska Cupen the following year. That form took him to SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie in August 2014, where over three seasons he scored 23 goals in 98 appearances — numbers that persuaded Feyenoord to sign him in 2017. At Feyenoord he added silverware to his career, winning the KNVB Cup and the Johan Cruyff Shield, and finished with 21 goals from 102 games for the Rotterdam club.

In 2020 Larsson took his career to China, joining Dalian Professional on what became a permanent transfer. The club was relegated and fell behind on his wages, and he terminated his contract in May 2022 after two seasons of unpaid salary. He joined Fatih Karagümrük on a free transfer in September 2025.

Internationally, Larsson worked his way up through Sweden's youth sides and was part of the U21 squad that won the 2015 European Under-21 Championship. His senior debut came on 15 November 2016 against Hungary, and he marked it by scoring from a free-kick in a 2–0 win. He went on to earn four caps for Sweden between 2016 and 2018. A knee injury forced him to withdraw from the squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in October 2016, a setback that came at a time when his former Heerenveen coach, Foppe de Haan, had publicly questioned his physical condition.
