About the player
His first senior goal for Austria Wien came on foreign business: 6 August 2026, in Conference League qualifying against Beitar Jerusalem. It arrived six months after his Bundesliga debut, which was itself an occasion — 6 February 2026, away to Red Bull Salzburg, two days after he had signed his first professional contract. That debut brought him the league's Debüt-Award.
Marković joined the Austria Wien academy in February 2018. The academy years gave him two titles: the Austrian Youth League U16 in 2023/24 and the U18 in 2024/25. His contract runs to 2028.
The route up went through the second team. He made his senior bow for Austria Wien II in the 2. Liga in November 2025, then took 513 minutes of Bundesliga football across the rest of 2025/26, laying on two assists.
Marković was part of the squad that reached the final of the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar, where Portugal beat them. He has 29 caps between the U15, U16 and U17 sides, and one for the U21s.
He is of Serbian descent, and the Serbian Football Federation approached him about a switch. Marković has said he intends to play for Austria.
