Hammarby

Hammarby go into the season as champions of Sweden, the club having taken the Damallsvenskan title in 2023 and followed it with the domestic cup double the same year, then added another Svenska Cupen in 2024/25. A bronze finish in 2024 kept them among the league's leading sides rather than at the very top of it.

The women's section dates back to some of the earliest organised women's football in the country, run for years alongside the men's side within the Hammarby IF alliance before the two were brought together in November 2016 under Hammarby Fotboll AB, the women's team becoming the elite section of a single club structure. Home matches are played at Hammarby IP, known locally as Kanalplan, on Södermalm, a ground that holds only a few thousand. Derbies against AIK and Djurgården, title-deciding fixtures and European nights move instead to the 3Arena in Johanneshov, built for crowds in the tens of thousands.

No one carries more of the club's history than Ann Jansson, who played from 1973 to 1984 and still holds the records for goals and appearances; she also scored the first goal in the Swedish women's national team's history. Pia Sundhage wore the shirt across two spells either side of the 1980s and 1990s, lifting cup honours before going on to a career that made her one of the sport's recognised names abroad. The run to the 2023 double had its own figures — Madelen Janogy among them, with Jonna Andersson arriving from Chelsea to keep goal — under head coach Pablo Piñones-Arce, who left in 2024 after four years in charge. William Strömberg now holds that job.

Green and white have been the club's colours since 1978, when Hammarby moved on from the black and yellow it wore before, a scheme that survives now as an alternative kit. What the record still lacks is a Damallsvenskan title to sit alongside 2023 and 1985 — only two in more than fifty years of the women's section's existence.
