Liria Prizren

Liria Prizren currently play in Liga e Parë, Kosovo's second tier.

The name on the shirt has changed more often than the club itself. Founded on 1 February 1930 as Sharr, it played as Prizreni under Albanian annexation during the war, then as Metohija once Kosovo sat inside Yugoslavia. Liria — Albanian for "freedom" — arrived in 1970 and has stayed since.

Its clearest mark on the record books came in 1994–95, when Liria became the first champion of the newly independent Kosovan Superliga. Two Kosovan Cups followed, in 2006–07 and 2009–10.

The ground carries its own weight of memory. Stadiumi Përparim Thaçi, built in 1937, is named for a Liria player killed at 21 during the Kosovo war in 1998 — his name now standing over the touchline every time the team from Prizren takes the field.
