Raufoss

The ground at Nammo Stadion holds 1,800 people, 1,600 of them seated, and the surface is artificial. It opened on 13 June 2015.

That factory is where the football started. Workers at the plant were kicking a ball around from 1903, fifteen years before Raufoss IL was formally constituted on 10 February 1918 as a multi-sport club. The football section has never fully separated itself from that origin: the club still operates on a semi-professional footing.

Raufoss spent longer in the Norwegian top flight than the current league position suggests — an unbroken run from 1937 to 1948, then shorter returns in the late 1950s, a single season in 1964, and two more in 1973 and 1974. The modern history is a different shape. In 2007 the club went down not on results but on finances and on infrastructure it could not meet.

Three times — in 2006, 2015 and 2018 — the club has come out of the 2. divisjon through the play-offs. Pål Strand came through here before Lillestrøm and two Norway caps in 2001, against Poland and Wales.

The supporters' club goes by 2830 Gul og Svart, after the postcode and the yellow-and-black of the home shirt. The nearest thing to a derby is Ridabu, from Hamar, close enough that the fixture draws a crowd without anyone having given it a name.

The best cup run came recently: the last 16 of the Norwegian Cup in 2023–24.
