Trans Narva

In the spring of 2011, a Latvian forward named Aleksandr Chekulaev went through Estonia's top flight the way no one else has: 46 goals in 35 league matches, a single-season record in the Meistriliiga.

The club he did it for had already worn two other names by then. Founded in 1979 as Avtomobilist, it became Autobaas in 1989 and has played as Trans since 1992 — the year Estonia's top division kicked off after independence. Trans and Flora are the only two sides that have stayed in it every season since.

The Estonian Cup has come to Narva three times: in 2000–01, when captain Sergei Zamorski scored the winning goal in the final, again in 2018–19, and in 2022–23 under coach Sergei Terekhov. Two Estonian Super Cups followed, in 2007 and 2008, both under Valeri Bondarenko, who a year earlier had steered the club to second place in the league, its highest finish to date.

Home games are split between two grounds. Kalev-Fama, holding 1,104, carries the spring and autumn fixtures; in summer, the club moves across town to the Kreenholm ground. The red and blue on the shirts date only to 2018, when the club dropped its earlier yellow and blue for the current design.
