Žalgiris II

In the early 1990s, Žalgiris-2 Vilnius won Lithuania's second division outright.

The side was put together in 2017, when FK Kauno Žalgiris built out a fuller structure beneath the first team, adding B and C squads alongside the younger age groups. Since then, Kauno Žalgiris B has played out its 1 Lyga fixtures knowing that whatever happens on the pitch, promotion is off the table by design.

Home games are played at the VDU Prezidento V. Adamkaus SC stadionas in Kaunas. It has no nickname of its own; where one is used, it is simply the senior side's, Žaliai balti.
