Neptūną Klaipėda

Two years running, Neptūnas has reached the play-offs for A Lyga promotion and gone out both times — in 2022 losing home and away to Džiugas, in 2025 falling 0-0 and 1-2 to Riteriai. Closer to home, the matches that matter are against Minija Kretinga in the league table and against fellow Klaipėda sides Sirijus and Klaipėdos FM, most often met in the LFF Taurė.

The club itself dates only to January 2020, set up with backing from the city's basketball club of the same name after the previous football side, Atlantas, folded. Earlier teams called Neptūnas had played in the city in the 1960s and 2000s, but the present club counts none of that as its own history.

Growth since has been quick and mostly upward. A second-placed finish in III Lyga West in the debut season was followed by promotion, and by 2022 Neptūnas were runners-up in I Lyga. The clearest result of the run so far, though, came in the 2023 Taurė, when Neptūnas beat Panevėžys — that season's eventual league champions — on penalties in the last 16, after a 1-1 draw. Olegas Lutkovas has coached the side since October 2024, the fourth man to hold the job since the club's founding.

Home games are played at the Klaipėda City Stadium, in blue and white, in front of a ground that holds 4,940.
