Babrungas Plungė

Plungė Stadium seats 500, an artificial-pitch ground the club has called home through every reinvention of its name. Babrungas Plungė has worn several: it started life carrying the badge of the local linen mill, Linų audiniai, and won the Lithuanian SSR championship under that name in 1956. The club became Kooperatininkas in 1973, Robotas from 1990, and only returned to Babrungas in 1994 — four identities tied to the same ground, the same town.

2015 came close to ending it. The club dropped into the third tier under financial strain, and survived only because supporters formed a public organisation, Plungės futbolas, to run it back to health. It returned to the second tier, then endured a season in 2017 that stands as a low point rather than a footnote: not a single point taken across the entire II lyga campaign. From there the recovery was gradual — a licence for Pirma lyga arrived in 2021, the same year the club reached the semi-final of the Lithuanian Cup, its best run in the modern competition. By 2024 Babrungas finished third in Pirma lyga, the club's best league placing since the rebuild began.

The colours changed too: yellow and blue since 2016, replacing the green and white worn before.

Brian Anhulo joined for the 2026 season, the latest in a short line of imports that has included Emmanuel Ageman.
