Zenit Petersburg 2

Zenit-2 played its last basketball season in 2025/26, its Super League campaign ending in ninth place before reduced funding brought the club's history to a close.

It began in 2017 as Zenit-Farm, taking the court for the first time on 23 September that year, before adopting the Zenit-2 name in 2019. The club existed to give young players from the Zenit Basketball Academy and the VTB United Youth League match minutes, and it did so in the Russian Super League, the country's second tier.

Its best season came in 2023/24, when the team reached fourth place under head coach Anton Yudin — the high point of a run that otherwise settled around mid-table, with ninth-place finishes following in both 2024/25 and 2025/26. Games against BC Spartak Saint Petersburg carried the sharpest edge, the two Saint Petersburg sides meeting in both the Super League and youth competitions.

The team wore blue, white and light blue, and trained at the 500-seat Basketball Academy "Zenit". Oliver Popovich took charge in 2024 and stayed on the bench through the club's final two seasons, the coach who saw Zenit-2 through to the end.
