Al-Khalidj and Baniyas played out a goalless draw in the Pro-League regular season on Thursday. The fifth match of the campaign ended 0-0 at the hosts' ground on 11 September 2026.
The first half produced two bookings and one VAR intervention. Fawaz Awana picked up a yellow card for Baniyas in the eighth minute. Akram Nakach followed with a caution for Al-Khalidj in the twenty-second minute, and the same moment brought a penalty appeal against him that VAR cancelled.
Neither side managed to change the scoreline after the break. Al-Khalidj introduced three players at the hour mark, while Baniyas made two changes. Both teams added fresh legs in the final minutes.
The statistics reinforced what the scoreline showed. Al-Khalidj dominated possession at 59 per cent but created only one big chance, registering zero. Their eight shots yielded just two on target. Baniyas managed seven attempts with one on target and posted a marginally higher expected goals total of 0.47 compared to 0.46 for the hosts.
The result kept both sides in the lower half of the table. Al-Khalidj stay tenth with four points after one win and one draw. Baniyas remain bottom-adjacent on a single point from five games, still searching for their first victory.
