Bloom took on Aurora in the fifteenth round of the Primera División Apertura on 2026-08-15. The home side ran out 3-0 winners, with Gabriel Centella scoring twice to do most of the damage. The result leaves Bloom on 23 points in tenth while Aurora stay fifth on 27.
Centella opened the scoring in the seventeenth minute and by then the visitors were already under pressure. Things tightened up around half-time when Amarilla picked up his second booking in quick succession and went off with a red card at 45+1. Umana followed him out three minutes later, also after a second yellow, and the home side went into the break two men up.
Aurora made three changes at the break with Vaca, Flores and Rangel coming on together. The visitors found little to work with and Bloom controlled the tempo. Villarroel added a second goal in the sixtieth minute, and Centella wrapped it up with his pair in the sixty-eighth.
The statistics told a straightforward story. Bloom held 54 per cent possession and created two big chances to Aurora's none. They registered six shots on target against five, but the difference was in efficiency. Aurora crossed seventeen times but managed only four successful attempts, while Bloom's six crosses yielded nothing at all.
Discipline did not improve for the visitors. Barboza and Enoumba picked up bookings in the sixties, and Spenhay ended the night with a red card in the ninety-third minute, after his second yellow. Bloom made five substitutions across the game while Aurora brought on six players in total.
The result does not shift the standings dramatically. Bloom remain ten points behind the leaders with three games left, and the gap between them and fifth place has barely moved. Aurora's recent form had been mixed, with four draws and one loss in their last five, and this defeat adds to a run that has not yielded many clean sheets.
