Borac Čačak saw off Naftaš 2-1 in the Prva Liga's Regular Season round four on Wednesday evening. The hosts took all three points at home, extending their winning run to five matches from six played.
Both sides made three changes at the restart, with K. Opoku Ackah, O. Alempijevic and V. Ilic coming on for Borac Čačak. S. Ilic broke the deadlock in the fifty-second minute, putting the home side ahead before Naftaš responded quickly. S. Djuric levelled matters just a minute later, and by then the game had opened up considerably.
S. Ilic was substituted in the sixty-second minute, replaced by M. Kovacevic, and the visitors began to feel the pressure. L. Nikolic collected a yellow card in the sixty-seventh minute, while Naftaš picked up four yellows in total through the second half. M. Savanovic and M. Mijic came on for Borac Čačak in the seventieth and seventy-second minutes respectively.
M. Nikolasevic and M. Kolarevic were booked in the seventy-sixth and seventy-ninth minutes, and another yellow arrived at the eighty-ninth minute. Naftaš had the better of the corners, seven to six, but Borac Čačak controlled the tempo with 56 per cent possession and 104 attacks compared to 84 for the visitors.
A late goal in the ninety-fifth minute sealed the win for the hosts, who now sit top of the table with fifteen points from five victories and one defeat. Naftaš remain in thirteenth place with just four points from a single win, a draw and four losses — a gap that talks about the difference in form between the two sides.
