San Luis moved up the Primera B table with a composed victory at Deportes Santa Cruz on Monday evening. The visitors took control in the second half, scoring twice to secure three points away from home.
M. Carreno opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, finding space to slot home after a period of sustained pressure. S. Parada doubled the advantage just before half-time, finishing in the 45+3rd minute to put the result beyond doubt.
The statistics told a clear story. San Luis registered seven shots on target compared to two for the hosts, converting their opportunities efficiently. Deportes Santa Cruz generated more attacks—169 against 141—but couldn't find the back of the net despite having 50% possession.
Both sides shared yellow cards evenly, with two each. I. Quiroz, L. Munoz and E. Flores were booked for the home team, while V. Duran received a card for San Luis. Several substitutions were made in the second half as both managers tried to change the game.
The result leaves San Luis in fourth place with 35 points from 22 games. Deportes Santa Cruz remain 15th on 17 points, continuing a difficult spell that has seen only three victories all season.
