Havnarfjordur and KR played out a 1:1 draw in the Urvalsdeild on Wednesday evening. The hosts took the lead through L. Rae before K. Halldorsson levelled for the visitors in the second half. Both sides took their points back to their respective ends of the table.
Rae opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, giving Havnarfjordur a slender advantage. Halldorsson responded after the break, finding the net in the 62nd minute to restore parity. Gunnarsson had been booked in the quarter-hour mark before being substituted on the restart, while Rae picked up a second yellow in the 55th minute.
KR controlled much of the territory, holding 62 per cent of possession and creating eight big chances compared to two for their opponents. The visitors registered 10 shots on target and 11 off target, while Havnarfjordur managed four on target and seven wide. Many of those chances went begging.
Defensively, the hosts made 40 clearances and won 12 tackles, while KR completed 17 tackles and made 12 interceptions. The away side attempted 31 crosses and completed ten, whereas the hosts worked just three crosses with one success.
Havnarfjordur remain ninth with 21 points from 22 games, having now drawn three of their last five outings. KR sit third with 44 points, extending their unbeaten run to eight matches across all competitions.
