Partizan saw off OFK Beograd 3-1 in the Serbian SuperLiga's seventh round on Sunday evening. The home side took the lead through Igor Miladinovic, who struck twice in quick succession before Mladen Aleksic added a third. OFK's response was limited to a single goal from Dušan Silue, but the match turned on a late sending-off that changed everything.
Miladinovic made his presence felt early in the second half. He opened the scoring in the 36th minute, then doubled his tally just a minute later with a finish that caught the defence sleeping. By then Partizan had settled into a rhythm, and OFK's back line looked uncertain under pressure.
OFK pulled one back when Aleksic was sent off after collecting his second yellow card in the 56th minute. Hoard came on for the visitors at the same moment, a change that suggested they were looking for something from the bench. Partizan responded through Borko Kostic, who found space in the box in the 66th minute to restore the two-goal cushion.
And here's the thing — Silue's red card in the 72nd minute shifted the balance completely. The Serbian international had been patient, waiting for his moment, and when it came he made the referee's decision stick. The sending-off left OFK with nine men for the final quarter, and Partizan were not going to let them recover.
The statistics tell a story of control. Partizan held 61 per cent possession and registered 104 attacks compared to OFK's 103, but the difference was in how they used the ball. They completed 368 passes against 214, created two big chances to one, and saw 12 shots on target with six going on target. OFK were more accurate from distance but struggled to create clear opportunities.
Partizan move to 13th with four points from five games, while OFK sit eighth with eight points after six matches. The result ends a run of three unbeaten away games for the visitors and leaves Partizan looking toward a more positive phase of their campaign.
