Ferencváros delivered a commanding performance to defeat Győri ETO 3-0 in the NB I on Thursday evening. The Hungarian champions moved away from their hosts in the second half, capitalising on two early chances to establish control.
Ádám Gyula Bagi opened the scoring in the 27th minute, giving Ferencváros the lead before the break. The visitors then doubled their advantage through Mariano Gómez in the 70th minute, before Krisztian Lisztes struck twice in quick succession to seal the victory.
Ferencváros controlled the game with 53% possession and created more clear-cut opportunities. They registered six shots on target compared to three for their hosts, and converted two of their two big chances into goals.
Győri ETO had 47% possession and managed 87 attacks, but could only muster three shots on target with a single big chance created. Their 47% possession did not translate into meaningful attacking threat.
The result leaves Ferencváros in seventh place with seven points from four games, while Győri ETO remain third with nine points from five matches. The visitors ended their recent run of clean sheets, having kept four consecutive games without conceding in all competitions.
Norbert Urblik was awarded a penalty in the 89th minute following a VAR review, but Luka Kulenović failed to convert his spot-kick. The miss proved costly as Ferencváros held on for a comprehensive victory.
