Slavia Prague and Bohemians 1905 shared the points in a 2:2 draw during the fifth round of the Czech Liga on Saturday. The visitors took the lead before half-time, but Slavia responded to take control before a late equaliser denied them all three points.
Mubarak Suleiman opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, catching the Bohemians defense off guard. Ladislav Almási levelled for the visitors six minutes later, and the match settled into a rhythm that would last until the break.
Slavia turned the game around in the second half. Tomáš Chorý headed home in the 75th minute to put the hosts ahead, and it looked as though they had won the match. Then Roman Kvet struck in the 89th minute to salvage a point for the visitors.
The final moments brought further complications. Ange N'Guessan had a goal disallowed for offside in stoppage time, a decision confirmed by VAR. The hosts had worked a short corner in the dying stages and almost found a winner, but the referee waved play on.
Slavia dominated possession at 61 per cent and created seven big chances, yet their shot accuracy of 27 per cent meant they left plenty on the table. Bohemians made do with 39 per cent of the ball but were more efficient, hitting 40 per cent accuracy and earning five saves from their goalkeeper.
The result keeps Slavia top of the table on four wins and two draws from six games, six points clear of the chasing pack. Bohemians sit 11th on six points after one win, three draws and a single defeat from five matches.
