About the player
Bruno Rodrigues began kicking a ball in the Gravatá community of Ceará-Mirim before joining Santa Cruz-RN, then moved into the Athletico Paranaense academy in 2014 and made his senior debut there in 2017.
It was a loan to Cruzeiro in July 2022 that changed his trajectory. He scored 16 goals in 63 appearances and helped the club win the 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B. Palmeiras made the move permanent in December 2023, paying around €4.65 million for the bulk of his rights, and he added the 2024 Campeonato Paulista to his medal collection.
That season also brought the setbacks. In 2024 he needed arthroscopic surgery for a knee ligament rupture, then underwent surgery in May for a ruptured patellar tendon. Earlier in his career, he had been joint top scorer at the 2015 Copa do Brasil Sub-20.
