About the player
Bordun came through the Oțelul Galați academy, spending nine years in the club's youth system before stepping up to the senior squad in 2024. Rather than going straight into the first team, he was loaned out for the 2024–25 season to Unirea Braniștea in Liga III, where he helped the side win the Serie 2 title.
He returned to Oțelul and made his Superliga debut on 20 July 2025 against Farul Constanța. Since then he has established himself in the first team, partly filling the league's requirement for an Under-21 eligible player on the pitch, and has made himself a regular fixture in the squad. Across the 2025–26 Superliga campaign he has made between eleven and thirteen appearances, scoring twice and setting up another goal.
In January 2026, Oțelul rewarded that progress with a new deal, extending his contract to June 2029.
