About the player
Aronsson stands out first for his frame: at 201 cm, he came through the club's own academy before making his senior debut in 2024. He was part of the Víkingur squad that finished runners-up in the Besta deild karla that year and took part in the 2024–25 UEFA Europa Conference League.
His development since has run through loan spells rather than a settled run in Reykjavík. In 2025 he moved to UMF Njarðvík in the second-tier 1. deild karla, playing 22 league matches and scoring once. The following season took him to Keflavík ÍF in the Besta deild karla, where he made 13 appearances and again scored a goal. In July 2026 he moved on again, this time abroad, joining Danish Superliga side Lyngby Boldklub on loan with an option to buy attached.
At international level, Aronsson has stayed within Iceland's youth ranks rather than breaking into the senior side. He has 13 caps and a goal for the Iceland under-19s and ten caps with a further goal for the under-21s.
