Davis Opoku

Davis Opoku came through the academy at OH Leuven, joining the club's youth ranks at Under-8 level. He signed his first professional contract in May 2023 and spent the following two seasons with OH Leuven II in the First National Division, using that spell to prepare for senior football.

His first-team debut came on 24 November 2024, when he was sent on as an 89th-minute substitute for Thibaud Vlietinck in a 1–1 Jupiler Pro League draw at home to Union SG. OH Leuven extended his contract to 30 June 2028, tying the young right-back to the club for the long term.

Opoku has been capped by Belgium at every youth level from Under-16 upward. He scored on his lone appearance for the Under-16s in 2023, added a single cap at Under-17, six at Under-18 in 2024, and has continued to feature for the Under-19s. He has not yet been called into the senior national squad.

Within the academy, staff have pointed to attacking instincts unusual for a defender. Academy manager Hans Somers described him as a "natural talent" with strong dribbling.
