About the player
Łukasz Łakomy came through Legia Warsaw's academy before spending two seasons with the club's reserve side, then moved on a free transfer to Zagłębie Lubin in January 2021. He also turned out for Zagłębie's second team, helping them win the Group III title in the III Liga in the 2021–22 season.
The midfielder's move to BSC Young Boys in June 2023 marked a significant step of his career, and it paid off quickly: Łakomy won the Swiss Super League title with the club in the 2023–24 season. In the Champions League the following season, he scored against VfB Stuttgart.
Łakomy joined OH Leuven on loan from Young Boys in August 2025, with a mandatory purchase option written into the deal. He triggered that option after 15 appearances and signed a permanent contract at the Belgian club running to 2029.
At international level, Łakomy has represented Poland at youth level, from the U15s through to the U20s and U21s, and has been mentioned among the players considered for senior call-ups by national team coaches Michał Probierz and Jan Urban, though he is yet to win a senior cap.
