Felix Gebhardt

Felix Gebhardt joined FC Lugano on a free transfer, signing a contract running until June 2029 after his spell at SSV Jahn Regensburg ended. The move brought the German goalkeeper to Switzerland with a promotion already on his CV: at Regensburg he was a key player when the club won a promotion play-off against SV Wehen-Wiesbaden to go up to the 2. Bundesliga in the 2023–24 season.

Gebhardt started out at FV Lörrach-Brombach before moving into FC Basel's youth setup in 2015. He signed his first professional contract there in 2022 but never appeared for Basel's first team in the league. Instead, that season was spent on loan at Hallescher FC in the 3. Liga, where he made 36 league appearances. In July 2023 he moved to Regensburg permanently on a three-year deal, reported as a free transfer, and went on to hold the number-one jersey through the promotion campaign and beyond.

At international level, Gebhardt's path has stayed within the youth ranks. He earned three caps for Germany's under-16 side in 2017 and 2018, and was called into the under-21 squad in 2023, though he had yet to make an appearance for that group, spending matches on the bench. He has not featured for the senior German national team.

At Lugano, Gebhardt wears the number 28 and arrives as a 190cm, right-footed goalkeeper.
