Luis Pacheco

In October 2025, Luis Pacheco signed a contract extension with Palmeiras that runs to September 2028 and carries a release clause of 100 million euros — around 631 million reais at the time — for any move to a club outside Brazil.

That debut came on 11 October 2025, in a Série A match against Juventude, when he replaced Andreas Pereira. Two league appearances followed in the 2025 season. Through 2026 he has played nine matches for the senior side: three in Série A, one in the Copa do Brasil, two in the Copa Libertadores and three in the Campeonato Paulista A1. He has neither scored nor assisted at that level.

Pacheco was born in Lajeado, in Rio Grande do Sul, and joined the Palmeiras academy in 2020, aged 12. No earlier club is on record. He captained the club's under-17 side and was promoted to the first team in 2025.

With Brazil, he played at the South American Under-16 Championship in 2024 and won the South American Under-17 title in 2025. At that year's Under-17 World Cup in Qatar, Brazil finished fourth; Pacheco took a penalty in the shoot-out of the third-place match against Italy, and the Italian goalkeeper saved it.

In August 2026 he was called up to the Brazil under-20 squad for friendlies against Bolivia. Palmeiras blocked the trip at the request of head coach Abel Ferreira, who wanted the player to concentrate on his club commitments. He has not been called up by the senior national team.
