About the player
Umuahia sits far from Prague, but that was the distance Mubarak Suleiman crossed to reach Slavia. He came through Nigerian academy football, first at Final Touch FA and then at the Right2Win Sports Academy in Abuja, before a trial in the summer of 2025 earned him a move to Slavia Praha.
He started with the B team in the Czech National Football League and with the U19 side in the UEFA Youth League, where he scored five goals in six matches, among them strikes against Arsenal, Bilbao and Benfica.
His first-team debut came on 7 February 2026, away to FK Mladá Boleslav in the Chance Liga. Suleiman was sent on as a substitute in the 84th minute for Alexander Bužek and needed only six more minutes to make his mark, scoring in stoppage time as Slavia won 4-0. A week later he added an assist in a 3-1 win over Karviná. By the end of the season he had a Czech First League title to his name with Slavia.
