Sent off for Ponte Preta against Sport Recife on 27 July 2024, he was described in the match report as striking defender Allison Cassiano with brutality. Brazil's Superior Court of Sporting Justice upheld a four-match ban under article 254-A of the country's football code, and the goalkeeper missed fixtures against Guarani, Brusque and Mirassol.

He had reached that point slowly. Rocha joined the Itapirense academy in 2017 and moved to Ponte Preta's youth set-up a year later, signing a senior contract on 16 January 2020. Instead came loans: four matches with XV de Jaú in the São Paulo state second division, a single Série D appearance for Inter de Limeira, then a productive 2022 at Athletic Club MG — 14 matches in the Campeonato Mineiro, one goal conceded, three clean sheets — and five more at Aymorés.

His Ponte Preta debut arrived on 4 November 2022 in a Série B match against Náutico. He spent 2023 as the reserve, playing twice in Série B, and won the Série A2 title with the club that year. In 2024 he took the first-choice shirt. Across all competitions he finished with 50 appearances for Ponte Preta and 18 goals conceded.

The exit was contractual. Ponte Preta's president said in April 2025 that the club had turned down loan offers of 350,000 reais from Juventude and Grêmio, preferring a sale. By the end of the year Rocha had terminated his contract by mutual agreement over unpaid wages and bonuses. Juventude presented him on 26 December 2025 and registered the free transfer on 1 January 2026, on a deal to the end of 2027.
