About the player
Sebastian Walker came through Zürich's own academy rather than arriving from elsewhere, moving between Zürich's youth ranks and Grasshopper Club Zürich's U18 side before returning to FC Zürich U21 in July 2023. That progression carried him into the first team for the 2025/2026 season, and the club rewarded him with a contract running to 30 June 2028.
The step up brought immediate reward: Walker was part of the Zürich squad that won the Swiss Cup in 2025, and he featured again as the side went on to take the Swiss Super League title in 2025–26. Silverware arrived quickly.
Walker has also been capped at youth level for Switzerland, appearing six times for the U19 side and scoring once between September 2023 and September 2024, before adding two caps for the U20s. Those call-ups came alongside his development at club level rather than instead of it, with Zürich remaining the only senior club on his record.
