About the player
Warner Hahn arrived at Hammarby in July 2024, and within months he was voted Allsvenskan's Goalkeeper of the Year for 2024, beating Johan Dahlin and Jacob Widell Zetterström to the award. He has spoken openly about the struggles and injuries that marked his early years, and has credited the move to Stockholm with reviving his form.
A move to SC Heerenveen in 2017 gave him the run of games he had been missing, and spells at Anderlecht, Go Ahead Eagles, IFK Göteborg and Kyoto Sanga followed.
He made his competitive debut for Hammarby on 20 July 2024 as the club won 2–0 away to Brommapojkarna, and went on to be the club's first-choice goalkeeper as they finished second in the 2024 Allsvenskan, a result that took Hammarby into the Europa League.
Eligible for both the Netherlands and Suriname, Hahn made his senior debut for Suriname in March 2021 in a World Cup qualifier win over the Cayman Islands, going to the 2021 and 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cups and starting against Mexico and the Dominican Republic at the latter tournament.
