About the player
Will Ferry came through Bury's academy from the age of seven before Southampton signed him in 2017 for an undisclosed six-figure fee. He turned professional there a year later but never made a competitive first-team appearance for the club. A season on loan at Crawley Town in 2021–22 brought 38 appearances and a shortlisting for the club's Young Player of the Year, and he moved on permanently to Cheltenham Town that August, where two seasons produced 82 appearances.
He joined Dundee United on a free transfer in 2024 and has since become a regular fixture there, reaching 63 appearances by the 2025–26 season. He won both the club's Players' Player of the Year and Men's Player of the Year awards.
Ferry has represented the Republic of Ireland at every underage level from U18 to U21, and his form at Dundee United was rewarded with a senior call-up. He made his debut for the senior side on 16 May 2026, coming on as a substitute in a 5–0 friendly win over Grenada.
